Revitalisation of agricultural land in the areas of the Czech Republic endangered by drought
Description
The project tested lignite and hydroabsorbent applications to improve soil properties, increase water retention, and support plant growth in drought-affected areas of the Czech Republic.
Sector
A1.6Support activities to agriculture and post-harvest crop activities
Needs/ Problem statement
Drought and degraded soils in parts of the Czech Republic limit crop growth and agricultural productivity. There is a need for technologies to improve soil water retention and fertility to sustain crop production under water stress.
Objective
To revitalize drought-affected agricultural soils using lignite and hydroabsorbent applications, improving soil fertility, water retention, and plant growth.
