DE48-Manure Efficiency/MNURE

Energy and nutrient efficiency of manure

Description

manure is treated before addition to biogas plant so that as much nitrogen, phosphate and water as possible are removed

Sector

A1.4Animal production

Needs/ Problem statement

to develop a procedure for liquid slurry processing for agricultural enterprises, with which slurry and manure can be used to produce transport-worthy, nutritionally optimized fertilizers

Objective

Treating farm manure before addition to biogas plant (unlike the common pratice) (alternatively during use) so that as much N, P and water as possible are removed. By producing concentrated fertilizers the transport costs are reduced, gas production is increased by optimizing the substrate properties, and the cultivation of energy maize will be reduced.
