Anaerobic co-digestion of roadside grass clippings
Description
This technology co-digests grass with other waste feedstock like pig manure to produce biogas and fertilizer
Sector
A1.6Support activities to agriculture and post-harvest crop activities
Needs/ Problem statement
Valorization of roadside grass clippings and improving its digestion with other feedstock, as monodigestion of grass can be technically challenging due to its fibrous nature.
Objective
Co-digestion of pig manure with grass clippings, improves the ammonia accumulation in the digester. It also improves the flowing of grass.
