Comprehensive solutions of local and regional energy systems as part of GreenDeal\'s measures to achieve sustainable agricultural and forestry management
Description
Assessing the potential contribution of biomass to meeting local and regional energy needs while respecting the criteria of a sustainable economy
Sector
A1.6Support activities to agriculture and post-harvest crop activities
Needs/ Problem statement
There is a need to update biomass potential in the light of changing factors affecting land use and biomass yields, including updating biomass potential from forest land to reflect the impacts of calamities in the last decade.
Objective
The possibilities of using biomass as a source in the heating industry will be assessed with regard to the expected methods of transformation. It also includes analysis of new promising areas of using agric. land for so-called agrovoltaics (AgPV).
